Job Description

Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in assembling cauterizing surgical instruments in a cleanroom environment. You will engage in reading processes and maintaining precise documentation to support our high standards of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble medical devices on two or more product lines, achieving or exceeding the quantity standard rate.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Quality System Policies by referencing and explaining written procedures.
  • Complete and maintain accurate written records of manufacturing operations following appropriate training.
  • Understand and execute instructions from supervisors or leads regarding priorities, work schedules, and special assignments.
  • Adapt to changes in procedures and learn new processes due to product line and technology modifications.
  • Assist in training procedures and cross-train on various product line operations as required.
  • Inform leads or supervisors proactively of material shortages.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to acceptable standards for attendance, working overtime, and varying shifts as needed.
  • Participate in Shared Leadership activities such as Kanban Management and Metrics Board Maintenance.
  • Perform all other essential duties as directed.
Essential Skills
  • 1 to 2 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO certified assembly experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, or in person.
  • Proficiency in understanding verbal and written work instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills for job duties (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Capability to work in a cleanroom environment following specific practices and procedures.
  • Experience with repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Fine motor skills, high degree of dexterity, and eye coordination for handling small parts and subassemblies.
  • Ability to operate manufacturing and measurement equipment such as microscopes, test equipment, and soldering irons following training.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • In lieu of a high school diploma, 2 to 3 years of relevant assembly experience.
  • Prefer soldering and hand bonding experience.
  • Basic MS Windows skills and site-specific PC programs knowledge.

Work Environment

Work in a full cleanroom environment within a medical device company. Adhere to strict cleanroom attire including hair nets, gowns, and booties. Practice hygiene by washing hands before entering the cleanroom. Note that no make-up is allowed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.80 - $22.88/hr.
