We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mixer Lead to join our team and contribute to this mission.
The Mixer Lead is responsible for leading and supporting daily mixing and blending operations in a GMP manufacturing environment. This role combines hands‑on mixing responsibilities with on‑the‑floor leadership, ensuring batch records are executed accurately, safety and quality standards are met, and mixing operations run efficiently. The Mixer Lead serves as a technical and process resource to the mixing team and provides feedback to supervision to support continuous improvement and team capability building.
Yourresponsibilities will include:
Mixing & Operational Execution
- Weigh, pre‑weigh, and blend ingredients in accordance with batch record instructions.
- Properly operate all mixers, blenders, scales, and associated accessories.
- Verify staged materials are correct prior to use; ensure all materials are accurately labeled.
- Accurately complete all batch records, logbooks, and required GMP documentation.
- Move drums and totes of finished product to designated locations using appropriate equipment.
- Observe product quality and machine operation; detect defects or equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
- Resolve minor mixing process issues and elevate downtime or equipment concerns promptly.
- Perform daily checks of walk‑behind lifts and related equipment.
- Lead and engage the mixing team, ensuring standard work and GMP practices are followed.
- Provide daily guidance, coaching, and informal mentoring to mixers.
- Support training of new and existing mixers; reinforce proper techniques and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact between mixers, line leads, supervisors, and other departments.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding mixing performance, training needs, and process adherence.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Stop unsafe acts, correct or report hazards, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Support process validation and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
- Report daily performance metrics and observations (e.g., Safety, Quality, OEE, Root Cause).
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Requirements QualificationsEducation / Experience /
Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing or mixing experience; 1–3 years preferred.
