We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Production Supervisor to join our team and contribute to this mission.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 4:20 PM to 2:50 AM
The Associate Production Supervisor supports leadership for the Production department via rigorous application of Amerilab processes and is present on the floor 75% of the day. This role is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the team of employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations activities in a nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, building accountability and delivering desired results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
responsibilities will include:
- Support Supervisor in day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
- Promote communication and teamwork across shifts / crews as applicable.
- Assist the management team to provide orientation and training of employees.
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure that all required documentation for production records is completed according to policies.
- Assists with oversight of production lines across the platforms/value stream to ensure efficient operations.
- Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations.
- Fill in as back-up Supervisor when needed.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol:
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.
- Provides leadership and direction to the Production team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

RequirementsQualifications:
- Three years of experience, preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products company in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Experience working with automated manufacturing preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization.
- People leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others.
- Knowledge of equipment qualification, facilities, preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to foresee problems or issues before they arise and select the best course of action to prevent and/or resolve the problem.
- Ability to work as part of a team with members across the organization.
- Ability to lead operators daily, including coaching and mentoring operators.
- Ability to provide feedback and insight to management regarding the daily operations of the production department.
- Strong project management abilities
