DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift, weekends-only position requiring charge nurse capability and MN licensure.
Details- Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting treating both adult and pediatric patients
- Combined General Emergency Department with 17 total staffed beds
- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), weekends only
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required outside the hospital, though floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may occur
- Charting performed in Epic
- Active MN RN license required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Strong ED experience with charge nurse capability required
- Conscious sedation and triage experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Documents required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO
- Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required
- Provide emergency and urgent care nursing to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, psychiatric, pediatric, and neurological cases
- Skills should include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and IV therapy
- Navy blue scrub color required
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
- Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from any prior staff or per diem role before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Fingerprinting is required as part of Minnesota state compliance and must be completed promptly, as start dates depend on receiving results
