As a Lead Atomic Physicist in Honeywell Aerospace's Advanced Sensing Technology group, you will use your technical and managerial skills to support several projects in a fast-paced R&D environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive research and development of technologies such as atomic clocks, atomic RF sensors, and photonics. You will have input into a variety of strategically important business-critical tasks in the growing field of quantum and optical sensing.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of our team of scientists and engineers to develop new atomic sensor technology concepts, and demonstrate them in practical devices.
- Engage with customers and partners to define their needs and requirements, then apply your skills to find creative solutions through rigorous analysis, engineering, and experimentation.
- Effectively communicate your ideas and results to research sponsors, scientific peers, and business leadership, through effective presentations, publications, and the writing of proposals.
- Use your expertise to spur the growth of our technology portfolio in new directions, shaping the future of sensing technology.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- >10 years of R&D experience in AMO physics, especially in the areas of quantum sensing technologies including Atomic sensors, Optical Sensors, or photonics
- Extensive experiences in proposing and winning DOD-funded programs
- Experiences in technical leadership and program management
- Due to contractual agreements, all applicants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residence.
