DSG is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in our Plymouth, MN location. This full‑time, hourly position typically runs from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though timing may vary with business needs. As a Counter Sales Associate you will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment, and perform all aspects of warehouse duties as needed.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Electrical Counter Sales Associate- Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
- Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
- Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
- Provide trouble‑shooting and technical support
- Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
- Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
- Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
- Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
- Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school, or 3‑5 years of field experience in residential/commercial electrical products.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, customer‑service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in‑person, phone, and email).
- Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to multi‑task.
- A knack for active listening to determine customer needs.
- Superior problem‑solving, project management, and analytical skills.
- High proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
