Counter Sales Associate - Electrical

DSG is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in our Plymouth, MN location. This full‑time, hourly position typically runs from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though timing may vary with business needs. As a Counter Sales Associate you will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement and fulfillment, and perform all aspects of warehouse duties as needed.

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
• Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
• Provide trouble‑shooting and technical support
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
• Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school, or 3‑5 years of field experience in residential/commercial electrical products.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer‑service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in‑person, phone, and email).
• Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to multi‑task.
• A knack for active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem‑solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• High proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
