- Perform a variety of aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Conduct annual aircraft inspections and document maintenance needs.
- Execute repairs and maintenance per workbook instructions, Wipaire standards, industry best practices, and FAA regulations.
- Maintain and repair aircraft components; assemble and install flight controls, engines, pneumatics, fuel, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and related accessories.
- Repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose equipment malfunctions by inspecting components such as landing gear, hydraulic systems, and de-icers for cracks, leaks, or other defects.
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, floats, functional components, and parts—including wings, fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen and fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals.
- Utilize comprehensive technical knowledge to resolve moderate to complex issues through interpretation of blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately document all preventive and corrective maintenance performed on aircraft as required.
- Airframe & Power Plant (A & P) license preferred, but not required.
- Meet FAA regulatory and safety requirements in all aspects of the work.
- Lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Hear, speak, and effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Stand, squat, reach, kneel, bend, and twist/turn for extended periods of time and work long hours in the shop and hangar, repairing and maintaining aircraft.
- Use hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, power tools, and other tools used in testing aircraft and parts, as well as a computer, phone, and photocopier.
- Provide all required tools within 90 days of starting employment.
