***** essential duties and responsibilities
*** perform preventative maintenance within dot standards.
* complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
* take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
* utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
* maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
* willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.

* ** onsite**: the associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a us foods maintenance facility.

* must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
** minimum qualifications
*** must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
* must furnish own personal hand tools.
* able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).

*** valid class a cdl license and dot certification
* experience with maximo fleet maintenance system
* previous mechanical and pm program experience
* experience using fleet maintenance software

The expected base rate for this role is between $35.25 - $ 39.25 per hour.this role will also receive overtime compensation and shift differentialbenefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
