Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an HVAC Test Technicians to support a growing R&D lab focused on developing next‑generation HVAC equipment. This role is ideal for candidates who want to move out of field service into a controlled lab environment, working hands‑on with equipment ranging from small systems to large chillers while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

- Associate’s degree in HVAC/R OR technical certificate with relevant experience
- Strong understanding of refrigeration fundamentals
- Hands‑on HVAC experience (commercial preferred; residential considered with solid background)
- Ability to troubleshoot, wire, and repair HVAC systems
- Experience working with tools, mechanical systems, and instrumentation
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout safety procedures
- Ability to work at heights and around industrial equipment
- Basic computer skills (email, Teams, MS Office) Experience with air‑cooled or water‑cooled chillers
- Mechanical lab or field service experience EPA 608 Universal certification
- Forklift, scissor lift, or man lift certifications
- Commercial HVAC experience over residential-only
- Union training or endorsements
- Experience mentoring or training others
