About Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Lead / Architect to design, implement, and scale robust automation frameworks and strategies. This role is pivotal in driving quality engineering practices by leveraging tools such as Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and CI/CD pipelines to enhance software quality and delivery efficiency.
The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, define test architecture, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams to build reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions.
What you'll do- Define and implement enterprise‑level test automation strategies and frameworks for UI, API, and end‑to‑end testing
- Architect scalable automation solutions using Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG/JUnit, and modern testing tools
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, etc.) to enable continuous testing
- Lead and drive automation transformation initiatives, reducing manual testing effort and improving release cycles
- Establish best practices for test architecture, code quality, reusability, and maintainability
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Product, and Dev Ops teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
- Define and implement shift‑left testing approaches and continuous testing models
- Mentor and guide QA engineers and SDETs in framework development, automation best practices, and coding standards
- Drive adoption of BDD practices, ensuring strong collaboration between business and technical teams
- Perform tool evaluation and POC development to identify the best automation solutions
- Ensure test coverage, reporting, and metrics for improved quality visibility
- Contribute to release readiness, defect analysis, and production support from a quality perspective
- Strong hands‑on experience in automation framework design and implementation
- Expertise in Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber (BDD), and test frameworks (TestNG/JUnit)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions
- Solid understanding of API automation (Rest Assured, Postman, etc.)
- Experience in version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Dev Ops practices
- Familiarity with test reporting tools, dashboards, and quality metrics
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
