Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Responsible for monitoring patient status, managing high-risk pregnancies, and promoting positive birth outcomes through evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical protocols.
  • Manage high-risk pregnancy conditions such as preterm labor, hypertension, and diabetes.
  • Educate patients on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn health.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
  • Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / OB experience.
  • Proven fetal monitoring skills.
  • Current BLS (AHA), AWHONN, and NRP certifications in hand at submission.
  • Active state RN license.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-risk obstetric cases and travel.
  • Ability to assess and respond to obstetric emergencies effectively.
