NON CDL Shuttle Driver

Job Overview

Plymouth State University is seeking Shuttle Drivers to transport passengers on established routes according to the scheduled timetable.

• Operate shuttles to transport passengers on established routes.
• Perform vehicle pre‑trip and post‑trip safety inspections.
• Report hazardous road or travel conditions to the dispatcher via two‑way radio as necessary.
• Fuel and clean the vehicle upon completion of each shift.
• Assist passengers with use of wheelchair lift and equipment when required.
• Provide first aid in emergency situations when applicable.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Ability to pass and maintain a valid DOT physical medical card.
• Ability to pass DOT drug & alcohol testing under all required categories (pre‑placement, random, suspicion, post‑accident, return to duty, and follow‑up).
• Knowledge of state laws governing the operation of motor vehicles.
• Clear and effective communication with dispatcher and passengers.
• Physical strength and dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to perform vehicle pre‑trip inspections outdoors in all weather conditions.
