Laboratory Technician
Location - Plymouth
My client are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician for a live MOD project
A Laboratory Technician provides control compliance within an UKAS accredited laboratory providing exceptional quality for customers in a safe working environment
Key Tasks
- Carrying out sampling and testing in line with Standards and customers specification.
- Carry out a point of work risk assessment.
- Checking that equipment to be used is in calibration and if broken or damaged this is reported to line manager immediately.
- Entering and completing on appropriate sheets all records, readings and results that arise from the procedure being carried out.
- Communicate clear instructions to site teams based on a thorough understanding of Client specification and expectations.
- Provide clear and concise data to demonstrate compliance.
- Carry out testing using equipment checked for calibration to demonstrate compliance.
- Deliver daily/weekly work programmes with site teams.
- Provide advice to others.
- Training other staff in sampling and test procedures.
- Maintain detailed site diary.
- Maintain personal CPD record and CV to demonstrate career development.
- Carry out any other relevant duties as requested from tie to time.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities
- CSCS Card
- Comprehensive range of experience demonstrated by CPD record and CV
Desirable:
- First Aid at Work
- Technical Member IOM³/ICE
- Technical Seminars and Workshops
