Formwork Carpenter (Plymouth) – Fulltime
An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years.
PAYE basis
Competitive rate depending on experience/qualifications
Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)
Must Have:
 
* CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
 
* Level 2 NVQ Formwork or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Formwork
 
* Safety Critical Medical
 
* Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter on major construction or infrastructure projects
 
* Experience with reinforced concrete structures and system formwork
 
* Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
 
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 
* Reliable and proactive approach to work
 
* Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance
 
* Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
This role is site based - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

* Construct, erect and dismantle formwork systems in accordance with project drawings
 
* Install and maintain timber and proprietary formwork for reinforced concrete structures
 
* Ensure all formwork is accurately aligned and securely fixed before concrete placement
 
* Work closely with engineers, supervisors and concrete gangs to achieve programme targets
 
* Inspect completed formwork to ensure compliance with quality standards
 
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
 
* Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
 
* Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works
