Formwork Carpenter (Plymouth) – Fulltime

An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years.

PAYE basis

Competitive Rate Depending On Experience/qualifications
Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Must Have

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
• Level 2 NVQ Formwork or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Formwork
• Safety Critical Medical
• Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter on major construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience with reinforced concrete structures and system formwork
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and proactive approach to work
• Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance
• Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years

This role is site based - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, erect and dismantle formwork systems in accordance with project drawings
• Install and maintain timber and proprietary formwork for reinforced concrete structures
• Ensure all formwork is accurately aligned and securely fixed before concrete placement
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors and concrete gangs to achieve programme targets
• Inspect completed formwork to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
• Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works
