My client is a well-established engineering contractor specialising in mechanical engineering and industrial pipework installations. They are looking to recruit an experienced Pipefitter to join their team for a long-term site-based project in Plympton on a CIS, Self employed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial pipe fitting, with experience installing, modifying, repairing and maintaining a range of industrial pipework and mechanical systems.
PipefitterPosition Overview
- Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling pipework
- Pipework modifications, alterations and rerouting
- Installation of steel, plastic and compressed air pipework systems
- Carrying out pipework repairs and replacements
- General mechanical fitting and equipment installation
- Installing valves, fittings, flanges and associated mechanical components
- Working from engineering drawings, layouts and site instructions
- Identifying and resolving issues with existing pipework systems
- Supporting general mechanical installation and maintenance activities
- Working safely in accordance with site-specific health & safety procedures
