Kitchen Aide​/Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Must attend workshops for cooks and other meetings when necessary.
• Responsible for keeping the kitchen facility clean and in compliance with state rules and regulations.
• Proper preparation and decision of meals for all senior citizens centers in accordance with food service regulations.
• May be required to perform duties of other personnel in their absence.
• Responsible for preparing food, according to assessment procedures provided by Area Agency on Aging
• Must deliver frozen meals to Senior Centers for weekend clients, holiday and inclement weather.
• Must properly prepare and deliver meals in a timely manner in accordance with Area Agency on Aging regulations.
• Must be responsible and willing to deliver.
• Assist the supervisor with maintaining a current food and supplies inventory, food cost and cost per meal.
• Responsible for attaining required paperwork on Central Kitchen vehicles, and proper maintenance of vehicles.
• Assist supervisor with calculation of recipes for correct numbers of meals for each center.
• Responsible for sending and distribution of paper goods and cleaning supplies for all centers.
• Must be able to coordinate with all site directors.
• Must be able to lift bulk carriers.
• Must be able to drive vehicles and complete daily safety checks on vehicles.
• Must comply with HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives for various roles to promote a well-rounded understanding of departmental functions.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current driver’s license, First Aid and CPR certification, and must obtain and maintain a Serv Safe certification.

Monday – Friday 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM
