About the Role
The Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, and reliability activities within a manufacturing or industrial facility. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure while driving continuous improvement initiatives that support production, quality, and business objectives
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of engineers to achieve performance, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Establish clear goals, priorities, and accountability across the engineering team.
- Drive team performance through coaching, feedback, and resource alignment.
- Ensure consistent application of engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Drive equipment reliability and asset management initiatives.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment uptime, reliability, and maintenance effectiveness.
Capital Projects Management
- Plan, budget, and manage capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate facility expansions, equipment installations, and process upgrades.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain teams to optimize plant performance.
- Support manufacturing efficiency, capacity improvements, and cost reduction efforts.
- Develop solutions to operational and technical challenges.
- Ensure plant utility systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Strategy, Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to support project success and innovation.
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, and materials to inform product development and continuous improvement.
- Support research and development initiatives to enhance product offerings and production efficiency.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including whitepapers and product support materials.
- Represent the engineering function in cross-functional initiatives, client interactions, and vendor engagements.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
5–8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
