Customer Relations Specialist

Suburban Propane is seeking a part-time Customer Relations Specialist to support residential, commercial, and industrial energy customers. In this role, you'll handle inbound calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries, assist with account setup, billing questions, payments, and delivery scheduling, and coordinate closely with operations and field teams to resolve service issues. You'll educate customers on propane safety and usage, ensure accurate CRM documentation, and contribute to a culture centered on safety, integrity, and dependable, long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Handle account setup, updates, payments, and billing questions
• Schedule deliveries, service visits, and maintenance appointments
• Educate customers on propane safety, usage, and conservation
• Resolve service issues and escalate complex problems as needed
• Document interactions in CRM and maintain accurate customer records
• Coordinate with operations and field teams to fulfill customer requests
• Support retention efforts through proactive outreach and follow-up
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and compliance standards
