In general, electrical Engineers will be expected to participate in project design from proposal to sealing Issued for Construction drawings. Projects will include a wide variety of machinery, systems, and structures for a range of industrial processes. These industries include food processing, wood products, mining and more. This position also requires project management and leadership skills. Our engineers are expected to have a thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, and tools.

They will work closely with other engineering disciplines to accommodate all project needs.

This position will also help to establish electrical engineering in our office in phases. The high-level objectives are:

• Maintain technical credibility while expanding expertise.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality support on priority projects.
• Build a scalable in-house team with the right tools and standards.
• Position the department for growth under clear business unit leadership.

This position reports to the Engineering Department Manager.

• Project Support: Independently perform technical work in accordance with prescribed techniques and procedures. Information and data management related to projects and project management. Ensure project team members create deliverables that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations and standards.
• Business Development: Drive business development efforts by building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat work, and contributing to a high level of client satisfaction. Assist with proposal development, scope definition, fee estimates, and presentations to help secure new projects and expand existing client partnerships.
• Collaboration: Work independently but be quick to ask questions and draw upon the best internal, customer, and industry resources to meet customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Build and maintain healthy, long term, professional relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Collaborate on project designs, drawings and visual aids using standard computations and analysis.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
• Communication: Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and project team well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for filling in gaps in customer communication. Organize and assign project tasks to other staff…
