• Grade 12, BSc or B-Tech degree (NQF level
  7) in Agricultural or Civil Engineering plus Three (3) years’ relevant experience working in agricultural / civil engineering environment;
• At least one year experience should be in middle
• Valid driver’s licence code 8 or
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist and must be active.

• To provide leadership and support by applying engineering principles and address technical challenges.
• To manage planning, design, implementation of engineering projects and new systems to solve problems, improve efficiency in one or more of the following fields of agricultural infrastructure: irrigation & water supply pump stations; mechanization; farm structures; animal handling facilities; food processing and energy.
• Implementation of cost-effective solutions according to Agribusiness Development agency (ADA) standards. Develop design manuals, standard drawings and procedures.
• Promotion of safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Preparing presentation and reports of implementation of projects.
• Reporting on service delivery and adherence to administrative procedures and regulations.
• Self-development in terms of keeping up to date with new technologies and procedures.
• Monitoring and supervision of projects from different service providers under Agribusiness Development agency (ADA).
