Description
Connections Credit Union is looking for a full‑time Resolutions Specialist for our Oak branch in Pocatello. The role requires a passion for helping others, creativity, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities- Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to resolve the delinquency.
- Prepare and file necessary legal documents; work with retained counsel as needed.
- Analyze the financial situation of delinquent borrowers and repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
- Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity and on credit bureau reporting.
- Inform Manager of trends in loan underwriting that contribute to delinquent or charged‑off loans and assist with other assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties related to the Resolutions Department as assigned.
- One year or more of collections, related legal experience, and bankruptcy experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Ability to demonstrate confidentiality regarding member accounts and sensitive information.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Must be bondable.
Work involves frequent personal contact for first‑level conflict resolution, relationship building, and soliciting cooperation. Requires diplomacy, tact, and the ability to objectively evaluate a member's situation relative to the credit union's needs.
Understanding of laws and regulations related to collections and bankruptcy, good listening skills, and people skills are essential.
Physical RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Requires ability to climb/descend stairs in an emergency, operate routine office equipment, work 6‑8 hours on a computer daily, work extended hours when required, travel by automobile, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation, and maintain reliable attendance.
ScheduleMonday – Friday / 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Compensation$19.50 – $29.00 per hour DOE, quarterly and annual incentives if eligible
