Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re not your typical dating app — we’re unapologetically real, a little cheeky, and all about empowering people to connect on their terms. With over 16 million users worldwide and ranked among the Top 10 most-downloaded dating apps in the U.S. last year, we’re making love (and everything in between) more transparent, more fun, and less awkward.

We're a lean, passionate team building something that actually helps people feel seen and understood—and now we’re looking for a Dev Ops engineer to help us scale, experiment boldly, and bring smoother love stories to life.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Build & maintain infrastructure:
Design, deploy, and optimize backend services and cloud architectures (primarily on AWS).
  • Solve complex problems:
Identify technical challenges and deliver elegant, scalable solutions.
  • Enable velocity:
Automate CI/CD pipelines, testing, and support workflows to speed up development and reduce errors.
  • Optimize performance:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability and efficiency at scale.
  • Secure systems:
Implement and enforce best practices for cloud and application security.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally:
Partner with engineers, product managers, and support teams to deliver a smooth end-to-end user experience.
  • Improve processes:
Continuously refine development, release, and monitoring practices.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience designing and running scalable, highly available systems in production.
  • Strong background in AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, Cloud Watch, etc.) with deep focus on cost optimization and reliability.
  • Hands‑on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar).
  • Expertise in databases at scale: partitioning, sharding, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with microservices and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and agile practices.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD frameworks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a track record of improving system performance.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
  • Contributions to open source or Dev Ops communities.
  • Experience with data engineering workflows: building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL and optimizing queries for analytics use cases.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses such as Big Query, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Exposure to tools like Airflow, dbt, or Kafka for orchestration and data reliability.
  • Comfortable partnering with data/analytics teams to make data more accessible and trustworthy
