Software Architect Data Access in Physics Photons

DESY-IT, in collaboration with photon science user groups at universities and partner facilities, is developing a new standardized approach to real-time, online access to photon science data. Our goal is to close existing standardization gaps and establish a sustainable data service at DESY, which will be rolled out to associated partners. To this end, we will provide freely available software libraries, integrated into established workflows and visualization tools to ensure intuitive usability.

The service will be connected to the Helmholtz federated IT infrastructure and core services (HIFIS). With EuXFEL and BESSY Il (HZB) as associated partners, the service will be deployed across three facilities, advancing FAIR photon science data and strengthening collaboration and accessibility within the German and European research community.
