The Manufacturing Operator IV operates machine(s) as defined in the Machine Operator Manual and follows all safety procedures. Performs simple changeover and set up, loads supplies and makes adjustments to semi-automated machine(s). The operator ensures equipment works properly, uses correct materials, keeps machinery running, and maintains quality standards. Troubleshoots equipment effectively, seeks assistance from a trained mechanic when needed, and reports any problems to supervisor or team leader.

This role may serve as a training prerequisite for a higher-level Machine Operator position.

• Set up equipment at the beginning and during the shift
• Bring supplies to the area and ensure correct supplies are used
• Able to effectively troubleshoot equipment
• Know terminology and components of all areas of equipment
• Operate control panel
• Document operations by completing all required forms
• When machine issues arise, call the mechanic and explain the problem
• Make sure the product is sealed and has the correct code (if applicable)
• Change packaging materials to avoid downtime and identify sub-standard materials and supplies
• Operate machine in a safe manner
• Communicate to supervisor/team leader any machine or process problems in a timely manner
• Maintain consistent clean-up and stock of area, perform general housekeeping tasks to provide a clean and safe work environment
• Work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
• Comply with policies outlined in the Amy's handbook
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must have at least 6 months of Amy's experience or demonstrated previous machine operator experience

• Able to read simple instructions
• Able to complete simple forms
• Able to verbally communicate with supervisor

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers

• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
