Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date 07/20/2026. Travel assignment for several weeks. Shift is 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay range: $1,457–$1,527 per week. Setting: hospital medical-surgical unit serving adults and geriatrics.

- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adults and geriatrics on a medical-surgical/acute unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, oxygen support, and related therapies; monitor responses and adjust care as needed.
- Assist with post-operative and renal/acute care needs; participate in CIWA management for substance withdrawal when indicated; respond to rapid responses and Code events.
- Support wound care, wound VAC management, chest tube and drain care, feeding tubes, and other advanced clinical tasks within scope.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, IV Team) and communicate with patients and families; ensure safe patient transport and turnover.
- Document thoroughly in Epic, adhere to isolation precautions and infection control practices, and participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Active RN license in Idaho or a compact state; license must be in hand at time of submittal.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry.
- Travel experience required.
- Trauma Level II experience preferred.
- Ability to float to other units as competencies allow when needed.
- Education:
graduation from an accredited RN program with current licensure.
- Competitive weekly pay: $1,457–$1,527 per week.
- Orientation: 24 hours of on-site orientation; RN modules 4–6 hours (non-billable).
- Credentialing and onboarding support to enable a timely start.
- Epic charting system experience required; on-unit interdisciplinary support.
- Ongoing recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment.
- Pre-approved time off is managed per contract terms.
Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and confirmed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
