RN / LPN – Pediatric Private Duty Nursing

12‑Hour Shifts Available | Overnights Available | New Grads Welcome | Paid Training

Family First Homecare (FFHC) is hiring compassionate and dependable RNs and LPNs to provide high‑quality, one‑on‑one pediatric private duty nursing in the home.

We offer 12‑hour shifts
, including overnight opportunities

No home health experience required — we provide hands‑on training and ongoing clinical support.

Position Summary

The RN/LPN provides skilled, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes while complying with FFHC policies, State Nurse Practice Acts, and all applicable state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care within scope of licensure (RN or LPN)
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Monitor and evaluate patient response to care
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to physician and nurse supervisor
  • Educate patients and caregivers on care needs
  • Participate in QAPI activities as requested
  • Support and mentor team members during patient‑specific orientations
  • Maintain patient and family confidentiality
  • Adhere to compliance, ethics, and safety standards
  • Attend required trainings and in‑services
  • Maintain professional and effective communication
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
  • Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in state of employment
    (Compact license accepted where applicable)
  • New grads welcome — training provided
  • Valid CPR (in‑person, instructor‑led skills check)
  • Knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts
  • Clear background screening
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance (where applicable)
  • TB screening (state‑specific)
  • Hep B screening (state‑specific)
Preferred
  • Pediatric or homecare experience (not required)
State‑Specific Notes
  • Background screening through FL Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (role dependent)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Working Conditions
  • Care provided in patient homes
  • Training may occur in office setting
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs without assistance
  • Frequent use of phone, computer, and standard office equipment
  • Travel to patient homes required
  • 12‑hour shifts available
  • Schedule may include weekdays and/or weekends
  • Shift lengths may vary (8, 10, or 12 hrs)
