Overview
Dialysis RN (Inpatient) – Travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Specialty:

August 24, 2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $1,955–$2,036 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour days 11:00–23:00 with on-call. Setting: hospital-based inpatient dialysis unit supporting hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services.

Inpatient dialysis unit within a hospital
- Provide inpatient dialysis care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis as appropriate.
- Perform AV fistula/graft cannulation, catheter care, and machine setup; troubleshoot and support dialysis equipment.
- Monitor patients during dialysis sessions, manage common complications (hypotension, fluid imbalance, electrolyte disturbances, clotting access), and administer blood products as needed.
- Conduct daily patient visits (~4 per day) and collaborate with IV nursing, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social work, transportation, and rapid response teams.
- Support bedside dialysis on other units as needed and orient new dialysis staff during shifts.
- Document consistently in the charting system; follow infection control and safety protocols; participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives.
- Active RN license in Idaho or a Compact State at time of submittal.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; travel experience not required; unit accepts first-time travelers.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts with on-call requirements; comfortable in an inpatient dialysis setting.
- Local candidates not accepted (100-mile radius rule).
- Onboarding: core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
- Orientation: on-site; RN modules typically 4–6 hours (non-billable).
