Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The facility is a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma accredited, equipped to provide complex care to patients, including those undergoing PCI and open-heart surgery. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patients in a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in emergent procedures such as cardioversion and central line placements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a PCU or similar environment.
- Active RN license (state or compact) must be in hand at the time of submittal.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is essential.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
