Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry Nurse

Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour - Weekend coverage required:
Yes — 6 weekend shifts per contract

Patient ratios: 1:3 or 1:4 (night ratios typically 1:4) - Orientation: 24 hours

Minimum 1 year recent relevant experience

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Experience with telemetry/PCU care and dysrhythmia interpretation

Ability to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)

Central and peripheral line care

Non-invasive airway management (BIPAP/CPAP)

Familiarity with Epic charting

Provide nursing care to patients in a progressive care or telemetry setting.

Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, and manage telemetry equipment.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.

100-mile radius rule: no local candidates.

State or Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submittal.

Onboarding: core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.

Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
