Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum management
  • Triage obstetrical patients, monitor fetal well-being, and respond to obstetric emergencies as part of a collaborative team
  • Assist and circulate for cesarean sections and recovery, including IUPC placement and sterile vaginal exams
  • Administer and monitor medications such as magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives, and anticoagulation as ordered
  • Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC), ensure isolation precautions/PPE, and support patient and family education
  • Document in the unit’s charting system and communicate care plans with the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Licensure: current RN license in Idaho or a compact license; license must be in hand at time of submittal
  • Experience:

    minimum 2 years of clinical L&D experience
  • Certifications:

    ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM
  • Travel eligibility: 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility
  • Education:

    not specified beyond RN preparation; must be able to work in a teaching hospital environment
  • Additional: ability to work in a high-volume obstetric unit with routine L&D, high-risk antepartum, and C-section cases
