Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions within a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care across diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses in accordance with physician orders.
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in electronic medical records following regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency in managing patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, trauma, respiratory failure, and post-operative recovery.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid state nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience preferred.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in electronic medical records software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
