Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care on a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit within a comprehensive stroke center. Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through advanced clinical skills and adherence to facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient vital signs, clinical status, and cardiac telemetry data to detect changes requiring intervention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on condition management and post-discharge care.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid nursing license in state or Compact State prior to submission.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1-year experience in a Progressive Care, Stepdown, or Telemetry unit.
• Hold current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to pass onboarding within 48 hours and complete required modules onsite.
• Maintain compliance with travel and staffing policies, including 100-mile radius rule.
