American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a State or Compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience.

• 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit within a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility
• Cares for complex patients including PCI and open-heart surgery cases
• Typical staffing ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active State or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management
• Skills required:
  
  cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Skills required:
  
  use of Rapid Response/Code teams, isolation precautions/PPE, and medication management
• Skills required:
  
  managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) and non-invasive airway management

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
