Job Description
The Orthopedic Registered Nurse utilizes their nursing education and expertise to deliver high-quality care to patients with musculoskeletal issues. This includes managing the care of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries, addressing chronic conditions, and educating patients and their families about care and prevention methods.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care effectively utilizing the nursing process according to hospital policies and protocols.
- Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions.
- Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, and communicating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide specialized care to patients with orthopedic conditions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Orthopedics.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Ortho experience is required; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
