Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, the RN will utilize clinical expertise to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical observations and medical directives.
• Implement and record patient care activities accurately using electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and other acute conditions.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies throughout daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in state or compact license valid at time of application.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred.
• Proficient in electronic medical records software, including Epic.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and clinical judgment.
