We are looking for a high-caliber Construction Laborer to join our fiber broadband crews in Pocatello and surrounding areas. Qualifications & Expertise- Industry Knowledge:
Hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation, underground utility work, and broadband construction such as installation/trenching and operating heavy machinery. - Safety Oversight:
Commitment to safety practices, keeping teammates and others safe on the job site. - Technical Proficiency:
Work with teams on fiber optic network maintenance, DLC systems, fiber hubs, and power installations. - The Ideal Professional:
Strong work ethic, proactive, communicates clearly, treats everyone with respect, and is coachable. - Credentials:
High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license with a clean record. CDL required. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and willingness to travel 1-2 weeks for out-of-town assignments.
- Deploy Fiber Infrastructure:
Assist in the installation of fiber optic cables through underground trenching and aerial deployments. - Operate Heavy Machinery:
Use excavators, skid steers, drop plows, and directional drills to get the job done right. - Collaborate & Solve:
Work with your crew to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure every connection is solid. - Manage Equipment:
Maintain tools and trailers, ensuring they are safely towed and ready for action. - Grow Your
Skills:
Gain hands-on experience in telecommunications, prioritizing professional development.
- Salary: $20-25 per hour.
- Hours:
Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week, with optional 35 hours/week upon approval for work/life balance. - Travel:
Frequent daily travel across the geographic footprint and overtime for emergency repairs is required.
