Job Qualifications:

A licensed social worker is required. A successful candidate in this position advocates for the well-being of middle and high school aged students and their families by providing support from outside agencies, school based programs, and classroom interventions. Ability to connect and organize support from school/district programs and outside agencies. Assist students in improving their academic, behavioral, and social functioning. Assist families in accessing information and/or referrals for counseling or other community support systems.

Work with family members and individuals from a child's home life to support their adjustment, learning, development, and success. Offer support and education for school staff to help improve their understanding of cultural, societal, economical, or other factors that can impact students' education and behavior tendencies. Identify, report, and assist the school district to intervene when abuse, neglect, or homelessness may occur.

Secure supplies and donations to assist school wide pantries.

Terms of Employment:
Salary range: placement on district student services salary schedule $27.95 per hour. This position is 37.5 hours per week.

Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and public employee's retirement system is available to certificated employees with a contract of.50 FTE or greater.
