Middle School Advanced Mathematics Teacher
St. Peter School, a Catholic school located in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, seeks a dedicated, high‑energy Middle School Advanced Mathematics Teacher to inspire a love for mathematical inquiry in our students.
The RoleAs a Mathematics specialist, you will deliver engaging, rigorous lessons in Middle School Mathematics that align with NJ Student Learning Standards and Diocesan guidelines. You will create a positive, inclusive classroom culture, support Catholic values, use assessments to differentiate instruction, and collaborate with parents and faculty to support holistic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Instructional Excellence: Deliver engaging, rigorous lessons in Mathematics in alignment with state standards.
- Positive Classroom Culture: Implement effective classroom management strategies with an emphasis on Positive Behavior Support (PBS).
- Spiritual Leadership: Infuse Catholic values and teachings into daily classroom life.
- Data‑Informed Teaching: Use formal and informal assessments to differentiate instruction and ensure all learners reach their potential.
- Community
Collaboration:
Partner with parents, administration, and fellow faculty to support the "whole child" philosophy.
- Experience: Prior experience teaching Middle School Mathematics.
- Certification: Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification (Elementary with Subject Matter Specialization or K‑12 Subject Area).
- Pedagogy: Strong understanding of modern pedagogical trends, including project‑based learning and technology integration.
- Character: Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and willingness to be an active part of a close‑knit school community.
