About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Satellite Emergency Department provides direct patient care for a specific population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their nursing skills while delivering high-quality care.
Highlights- Location: Point Pleasant, NJ
- Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
- Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
- Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
- Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
- Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
Education:
- Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
- BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
- 1+ years of acute care nursing experience highly desired
- ED nursing experience is highly desired
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required
- ACLS and PALS certifications highly preferred
