Night shift Manager

Location: Polokwane, Limpopo
Industry: FMCG / Food Distribution / Warehousing
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 17h00 until completion

A well-established national FMCG distribution company is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Night shift Manager to oversee its warehouse and dispatch operations during the night shift.

This role is suited to a disciplined operational leader who thrives in a fast‑paced distribution environment and has strong experience in warehousing, team supervision, stock control, and dispatch management.

• Plan and coordinate delivery rounds
• Supervise picking and loading teams
• Oversee and enforce the Pick-to-Load process
• Ensure accurate and efficient truck loading
• Manage warehouse productivity and time management
• Prevent and control shrinkage and damages
• Oversee stock control and assist with stocktakes
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
• Implement and enforce Occupational Health & Safety compliance
• Generate operational reports using the company system (Great Plains)
• Manage team performance, discipline, and staff welfare
• Ensure operational targets and deadlines are met

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Certificate in Stock Control or Warehouse Management advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing, logistics, or distribution
• Minimum 2 years’ people management experience
• Strong understanding of the supply chain (buying, selling, routing, dispatching)
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience on Great Plains or similar ERP/WMS system advantageous
• Strong numerical and literacy skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• High attention to detail
• Clean criminal record

This is a hands‑on operational management role requiring flexibility, accountability, and strong leadership during night shift operations.
