Senior Environmental Scientist - Impact Assessment

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to join their consultancy team in Polokwane. • Lead and manage the execution of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for diverse development projects.
• Conduct baseline studies, risk assessments, and ecological surveys.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and community stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
• Analyze environmental data using GIS and other relevant software.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on Environmental Impact Assessment.
• Proven expertise in conducting ecological surveys, risk assessments, and environmental data analysis.
• Familiarity with South African environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in using GIS software and other environmental modeling tools.
