Electrical Technician - Industrial Automation

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with a specialization in Industrial Automation to join their team in Polokwane . This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated industrial control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMI panels. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our automated processes, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.

• Install, configure, and maintain industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system faults, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and automated equipment according to schedules.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system logic.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new automation solutions and system upgrades.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.

• Qualified Electrical Technician with specific experience in industrial automation.
• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Strong understanding of electrical control systems, motor controls, and power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for tasks in Polokwane .
