Maintenance Supervisor - Heavy Industrial Equipment

Our client, a leading player in the heavy industrial sector, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at their extensive facility in Polokwane, Limpopo . • Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all heavy industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various machinery.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians, fostering skill development.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and minimize equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.

• Technical qualification or trade certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be safety-oriented and knowledgeable about industrial safety standards.
• Must have the legal right to work in Polokwane, Limpopo .
