Job Description

As a Mammography Technologist, you will assist radiologists and primary practitioners by obtaining the best possible mammograms and general radiographs for interpretation according to departmental policies and procedures. You will also perform tasks and duties outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedure Manual, assist with assigned administrative tasks, and maintain clinical competencies (including diagnostic and invasive procedures) through participation in educational and orientation programs.

• Obtain high-quality mammograms and general radiographs in accordance with departmental standards.
• Assist radiologists and primary practitioners during examinations.
• Perform tasks described in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Complete assigned administrative tasks related to patient care and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain clinical competencies by participating in educational and orientation programs.

• Education required to receive MSRT.
• Montana Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT) upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist – Mammography within 1 year of hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
