Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified LDRP RN in Polson, Montana, 59860!

Registered Nurse - LDRP

Location: Polson, MT

Start Date: 05-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), includes weekends evenly distributed; night shift with on-call (max once per pay period)

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) nursing care for neonates, infants and adults
  • Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with labor management and interventions
  • Circulate for C-sections and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe outcomes
  • Triage obstetrical patients and make timely, confident clinical decisions
  • Deliver newborn and neonatal care, including initial assessments and stabilization
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly in Epic to support continuity and safety
  • Answer unit communications and assist with IV starts and other cross-unit support as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and float to support staffing needs across units
Knowledge & Skills
  • Labor & Delivery and LDRP clinical skills
  • Antepartum care and triage of obstetrical patients
  • Sterile vaginal exam technique
  • Circulating for C-section and operating in perioperative OB settings
  • Neonatal/newborn care and stabilization
  • Epic electronic charting proficiency
  • Wireless fetal monitoring and postpartum hemorrhage tools (JADA device)
  • IV starts, unit phone triage, and strong interdisciplinary communication

Requirements
  • Active RN licensure (eligible to practice in Montana)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience (job lists 2 years of experience)
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery and LDRP settings
  • Proven experience or comfort with neonatal/newborn care
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BLS required; CLC, NRP and STABLE certifications preferred
  • Comfort circulating for C-section and performing sterile vaginal exams
  • Ability to float between units and provide phone triage/support when needed
