American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position at a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of recent LDRP experience and a compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a small critical access hospital
- LDRP setting where the OB nurse triages, labors, recovers, and provides postpartum and newborn care
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6 depending on assignment
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 7:00
- Floating between units required
- Weekends required, equally split among staff
- 48-hour work weeks approved
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Active RN license (Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP; CLC and Stable preferred
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery/LDRP experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; seasoned travelers only
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Skills required:
Labor and Delivery Management, circulating for C-section, sterile vaginal exam - Experience in antepartum care and procedures and triage of obstetrical patients
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Provide comprehensive OB nursing care including triage, labor, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Must work at least one winter holiday, scheduled in pairs (Thanksgiving/Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's/New Year's Eve)
- Scrubs may be any color; OR attire provided
- No parking fees at this facility
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates should reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
