ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY
Under the general supervision, the Part-time Assistant is responsible for assisting various tasks. Thispositionis designed to provide opportunities to hone customer service skills, team development, and foster professional growth. This position will work under Kellogg Ranch (AGRIscapes) leadership on general daily operational needs of Kellogg Ranch and Kellogg Ranch events.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):Performs a variety of data entry functions, and other clerical/office work. Provide friendly and courteous customer service.
- Typical duties may include, general office, ground work, working with animals, customer service and stocking.
- Provide a good balance of technical and people skills with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Prepare documents/materials as necessary.
- Possess the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, handle confidential materials appropriately, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist individuals via phone, email or in person.
- Assist with special projects.
- Must be able to communicate regularly with direct supervisor all work status updates as well as task completions.
- The student office assistant must possess the ability to work well with staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Good communications skills to work with the Kellogg Ranch leadership
- Conduct yourself in an honest, conscientious, and courteous manner at all times, showing respect for persons of all backgrounds, races, genders, interests, and abilities.
- Develop individual respect for one another, respect for personal and the University as a whole.
- Demonstrate an investment in student leadership.
- Ability to adhere to a regular work schedule.
As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality

The Foundation also contributes operating support to nearly 1,100 Foundation and scholarship programs every year, including Bronco Athletics and the Norman J. Priest Scholarship. In addition, the Foundation administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications. The Foundation contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
