About this Role:

Consertus is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support our Metrolink program in Pomona, California .This position will provide advanced project scheduling and project controls support for complex rail and transit capital projects , working closely with the Project Controls Manager, project management teams, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.

The Senior Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed Primavera P6 CPM schedules , monitoring schedule performance against established baselines, evaluating schedule changes and delays, reviewing contractor-submitted schedules, and providing clear schedule reporting and recommendations to project leadership.

The ideal candidate brings significant scheduling experience supporting large-scale, multi-phase, multimillion-dollar design and construction programs , preferably within the rail, transit, heavy civil, or public infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed, logic-driven construction schedules for new construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.

Develop and analyze labor and equipment resource requirements and prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded, time-phased schedules .Establish and maintain project schedule baselines and monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules.

Perform schedule updates, variance analysis, critical path analysis, and milestone tracking.

Identify schedule risks, delays, variances, and potential impacts to project milestones and completion dates.

Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) for proposed or actual schedule changes and delays.

Develop schedule mitigation strategies, recovery recommendations, and corrective-action plans for the Project Management Team.

Maintain logic-driven schedules that clearly identify major interfaces, dependencies, constraints, milestones, and critical-path activities.

Review and analyze contractor-submitted schedules for logic, sequencing, progress, compliance, and overall schedule integrity.

Prepare written schedule review comments and coordinate required corrections with contractors and project stakeholders.

Develop detailed planning documents, time-scaled charts, schedule diagrams, and other project controls deliverables.

Prepare recurring schedule progress reports, executive briefing materials, milestone reports, and schedule performance summaries.

Develop effective reporting tools and visualizations to communicate complex project sequencing, schedule status, risks, and progress.

Promptly communicate significant schedule variances or emerging concerns to project leadership and provide recommendations for corrective action.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, construction teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to obtain schedule information and maintain accurate project schedules.

Support project leadership with schedule-related analysis and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
