We are looking to hire a Dental Assistant / Customer Service Representative for their Dental Clinic to provide clinical,administrative, and staff support for a comprehensive dental services operation.

Schedule:

Full-Time | 1.0 FTE

• Providechairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare,sterilize, and organize dental supplies and equipment in accordance withOSHA and clinic standards
• Take radiographs as directed by the dentist, when appropriately trained in radiation safety
• Develop and process dental radiographs according to provider orders
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining radiation safety procedures and protocols
• Orderand maintain inventory of dental clinic supplies
• Interact with and process dental clinic patients
• Perform telephone triage and conduct patient interviews
• Maintain dental laboratory slips
• Createand maintain dental records in accordance with established protocols and procedures
• Assist with monthly reporting and quality improvement activities
• Ensure smooth patient flow by promptly checking in patients, communicating nextsteps, and monitoring dental patient flow
• Verify patient eligibility and assist patients with enrollment in additional programs based on program qualifications
• Confirm and update patient demographic, insurance, and other required information in the EMR
• Collect payments and comply with the health center’s cash-handling procedures as outlined by the Finance Department
• Obtain required patient information, including photo , insurance card,Medi-Cal, Medicare, and/or Social Security card
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Lead Dental Assistant

• Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program, if certified
• Proofof completion of a board-approved 8-hour infection control course
• Successful completion of a California Board of Dental Examiners-approved radiation safety course
• 1–2years of experience directly related to the position duties and responsibilities
• CurrentBLS certification

• Current knowledge of and ability to follow comprehensive dental clinical procedures and protocols
